2. Cookies and Local Storage

InstaVideoDown uses local web technologies to improve your user experience:

• Local Storage: We use your browser's Local Storage to store your configured preferences (such as your chosen design theme) and your recent download history. This data remains on your local machine and is never transmitted to our backend servers.
• Authentication Settings: If you use the Advanced Settings to bypass Instagram authentication limits by pasting a sessionid, it is stored locally on your device in Local Storage. It is only passed to our serverless backend temporarily to make requests to Instagram on your behalf, and is never logged or stored.

3. Log Files and Analytical Services

Like most web services, our servers log automated web requests. These logs include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click data. This data is purely used to run the application, prevent abuse (such as bot attacks), and analyze traffic trends. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

4. Third-Party Links & API Proxies

Our service uses dynamic proxies to retrieve files from Instagram CDNs to ensure download capability. When you click download, your browser initiates a proxy request to our servers, which retrieves the stream from Instagram. We do not store this stream. Additionally, our website may contain links to external sites (e.g., instagram.com) that are not operated by us. We advise you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
