Last updated: June 17, 2026

InstaVideoDown respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.

1. Important Notice Regarding Hosting

Before submitting a complaint, please understand how our service works:

InstaVideoDown is not a hosting provider. We do not upload, host, copy, or store any files or media on our servers. Our downloader only parses links and streams data directly from Instagram's content delivery networks (CDNs). Therefore, we cannot delete files from the internet. To permanently remove content, you must contact Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.) directly.

2. Blocking Infringing URLs on Our Site

If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and wish to prevent our tool from being used to download media from a specific public Instagram URL, you can submit a takedown request.

To submit a request, please provide the following details through our Contact Us page or email us at dmca@instavideodown.example.com:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • The exact Instagram URL(s) you wish us to block from our scraper tools.
  • Your contact information including name, email address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

3. Action on Valid Requests

Upon receipt of a valid, completed DMCA blocking request, we will take actions within 48 to 72 hours to blacklist the specified Instagram URLs from being processed by our downloader APIs.

4. Counter-Notification

If your public post has been blocked on our site due to a request, and you believe it was blocked by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice containing the original URL, your contact details, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local courts.
